After Shock (liqueur)
After Shock is a liqueur drink produced in Canada by Jim Beam Brands and distributed by Munson Shaw Co. of Deerfield, Illinois. It has a thick, syrupy consistency and is available in four varieties and one limited edition.

After Shock was first marketed in 1997, and aimed primarily at more experienced drinkers. All varieties of After Shock originally contained 40% alcohol by volume (80 proof), however in 2009 this was lowered to 30% and the Green variant (Thermal Bite) was discontinued.
After Shock cocktails
After Shock is sometimes mixed with other varieties of After Shock or with other alcoholic drinks and mixers. After Shock cocktails include:
- Red and Gold shot (half shot of Red After Shock, half shot of Goldschläger)
- StrongShock (A pint of Strongbow with Red After Shock poured on top.)
- Purple Haze (One shot each of Red and Blue After Shock in a double shot glass)
- Radiation (Two shots of Blue After Shock, two shots of sambuca and one can of Red Bull)
- Floating Guinness (Two shots of Blue After Shock, one bottle of blue WKD and half a pint of Guinness)
- Blue Alfredo (Blue After Shock mixed with blue WKD, tastes like pleasant mouthwash, invented in a dream)
- Christmas, also known as Purple Death, and erroneouly as Cheeky Vimto, due to its colour (Red After Shock mixed with blue WKD, so called because it is likened to drinking glitter )
- Liquid Fireball (A shot of Red After Shock and Jägermeister, named because it tastes like fireball sweets)
- Flaming Homer (Red After Shock, Blue After Shock and Absinthe-Shot glass)
- Mr. T Special (Pint of Strongbow, shot of Vodka poured on top, Red After Shock depth charge and a lime wedge)
- Sticky Fingers (One part After Shock and one part Jim Beam in a shot glass); named because it is drunk by dipping the index and middle fingers into the glass and grabbing the glass with the thumb.)
- Napalm Sticks To Kids (One part Red After Shock, one part 151 rum, shaken with ice and strained into an old fashioned glass, garnished with a stick of beef jerky cut into the shape of a person, and then set alight.)
- Guillotine (Fill shot glass about 4/5 of the way with Butterscotch schnapps. Float a layer of Bailey's Irish Cream on schnapps. Float a layer of Aftershock on the Bailey's.)
- Kryptonite (2 measures of Blue After Shock and a can of Red Bull) created by Jamie Forsdyke at the POW Bar in Tamworth in 2002 and later used at every EVE Radio DJ Party.
- The Martin (One shot Blue after shock, one shot Sambuca and Finch's orange with a wedge of lime, drank through a straw) A popular drink in Dublin, Ireland.
- The Black Death (One shot Black Aftershock mixed with Bacardi Breezer orange - turns a horrid black-green colour but tastes like pick 'n' mix sweets).
- Midnight Shot (One shot Jameson Whiskey mixed with One Shot Red Aftershock - turns to a pungent & potent black syrup which will render the drinker 'quite merry') Originated in Cork, Ireland as an after work tipple.
